Thanksgiving and Christmas cooking time is here and no holiday meal table is complete without a good cranberry sauce recipe. The striking thing about making homemade cranberry sauce is that it really is very easy to make. Also, when you make your own cranberry sauce recipe for the holidays you be the one that decides what goes into it. You can be either as traditional or as experimental as you wish and create your own signature cranberry sauce recipe.

This particular recipe for cranberry sauce is interesting because of the variety of liquids he puts in the pot with the cranberries. Not only does he put orange juice in with them, which is often found in homemade cranberry sauce recipes to balance out the bitterness of the natural fresh cranberry, but he also puts port wine and lemon juice in it.

Just be careful because if you follow his recipe for cranberry sauce, your family might enjoy it so much at the holiday meals that it will forever be your job to bring the cranberry sauce.

Now we are talking! I love it when home cooks come up with their own recipes for things like fudge. It is the moms and wives of this world that find the best ways to take things like a fudge recipe and make it even better!

This cookies and cream fudge recipe is one of those recipes that a chef or food snob would never even think of developing. Yet, somewhere in the world, this wonderful woman thought that the one thing that would make her fudge recipe better would be Oreo cookies. We have to love that in any woman. Doesn’t her cookies and cream fudge recipe look like the sort of thing you would just have to try once you heard about the recipe?

If you made a batch of this fudge recipe you could include it on any Christmas cookie trays you do or even make it for a potluck and people would be running to you asking for the recipe. Don’t give it to them though because then you won’t be the one person that knows how to make the fudge recipe they all crave. Top make it even better, it is such an easy fudge recipe but you can make them think you worked for ages on it.

Cooking a homemade stuffing recipe is always going to impress. What those that you are cooking for don’t need to know is that it is actually pretty easy to make your own stuffing recipe. Making your own stuffing also means that you can control what goes into the stuffing mix. Being creative can lead to some really good stuffing recipes and you soon will become spoiled and not enjoy the boxed stuffing as much ever again.

This pecan and apricot stuffing is the sort of stuffing recipe that once you make it you will want it again and again. The stuffing recipe starts out with sourdough bread which is straight away going to give it a unique taste. Then the addition of the pecans and apricots make sure that the homemade stuffing recipe has a great balance of sweet and earthy flavors. The nuts also mean that your stuffing recipe will have an interesting texture rather than the normal stuffing you make.

No turkey dinner is complete without a good stuffing recipe sitting alongside the rest of the meal. A nice change up from the normal stuffing is more than possible if you give a cornbread stuffing recipe a try. You still get all the homey goodness of a tasty stuffing recipe but with the added tastiness of cornbread. The cornbread that goes into cornbread stuffing carries with it a flavor that would also go really well with other types of meat.

You could make this cornbread stuffing recipe to site alongside a bit of ham or some juicy pork chops and it would certainly work very well. A nice feature of this particular recipe is that it is such an easy stuffing recipe to make. That makes it especially good for those times when you are rushed or when you are stressed by having to do a lot of work on the rest of a big Thanksgiving or Christmas meal.

Fruit cake has suffered from a less than positive reputation for far too many years. People joke about getting that Christmas fruit cake every year but never actually eating it. Surely, most of the frowns that come from there mere mention of a fruit cake comes from the fact that most people are eating a fruit cake recipe which isn’t very good. Which, is a shame because a really good fruit cake recipe can produce a really wonderful dessert which you would love to have as both your Christmas fruit cake and for any other time of the year.

This particular fruit cake recipe, is presented by British tv cookery legend Marguerite Patten and British celebrity chef Sophie Grigson. It really is a treat to watch them demonstrate this fruit cake recipe because it really is Marguerite Patten teaching Sophie Grigson how a proper fruit cake recipe used to be made. If we forget these recipes they will simply die and so it is wonderful to see a recipe being handed down the generations.

Marguerite Patten’s fruit cake recipe is different than most because of the coconut that is added to the fruitcake recipe and it will be certain to please even those that have sworn to hate the mere concept of fruitcake.

Brownie recipes may very well be something to have come out of the United States but Irish celebrity chef, Rachel Allen, may just might be able to teach her American cousins a thing or too with her amazing blondie brownie recipe. Try not to drool too much as you read that these are white chocolate and peanut butter brownies. Seriousl, wouldn’t white chocolate brownies or peanut butter brownies be amazing enough on their own? So, just imagine how amazingly wonderful this blondie recipe is when they have been combined!

The blondie recipe batter that Rachel Allen makes up for her white chocolate and peanut butter brownie recipe is so thick that you just know they are going to bake up to be something really very special. The richness and the chewy nature of this outstandingly outlandish blondie brownie recipe just calls out for it to be served with a warm brownie topped with a bit of vanilla ice cream.

You could also make this blondie brownie recipe into a real treat by baking a few batches to put on your Christmas cookie tray. Plus, the more batches you bake of Rachel Allen’s white chocolate and peanut butter blondie brownie recipe, the more chances you get to sneak a bite while you bake!

Fruit and ham go together like the best of marriages. It isn’t just one type of fruit either and that is why a recipe such as this pineapple and peach glazed ham recipe works just as well as more traditional ham recipes. If you are looking to cook a ham that has already been precooked then this just might be the perfect recipe for you to try.

Jasmine starts out her lesson for cooking a glazed ham by using a precooked spiral ham from the supermarket. She shows that you can take a fairly simple bought ingredient such as the spiral ham and turn it into something really special with just a little bit of no how. She uses pineapple preserves, peach preserves, pineapple slices and brown sugar to put together this glazed ham recipe that looks beautifully sweet.

You can tell that this is the sort of glazed ham recipe that will produce the sort of leftover ham that will make really great cold ham sandwiches for the days after it was enjoyed hot from the oven.

Perhaps the most classic of all glazed ham recipes is that of the marmalade glazed ham. Just take a look at that stunning glazed ham in the video and you will be left with no doubt about why this ham glaze recipe has stood the test of time. Orange marmalade on its own can have a bit of bitterness to it but once it is mixed with orange juice, mustard and sugar it takes on the perfect level of sweetness to go with ham.

This glazed ham recipe is a British recipe and it differs from most American baked ham recipes in that the starting point for the recipe is a raw ham. This raw ham is referred to as gammon. Before becoming a glazed gammon recipe, the gammon is cooked in boiling water that is spiked with all sorts of herbs and spices. Which means that even before the ham hits the inside of the oven to be turned into an amazing marmalade glazed ham recipe, it is already packed with flavor. Such a tremendously flavored glazed ham will leave everybody around your table demanding seconds.

If you served this as your Christmas ham recipe there wouldn’t be a complaint to be heard.

What is it about the mere thought of a glazed ham recipe that makes the mouth water? It must be the moist succulent nature of a really good glazed ham recipe mixed with the sweet tooth indulging goodness of the perfect ham glaze recipe. This particular baked ham recipe comes across as extra special because of the change up in the ham glaze ingredients from what people normally think of putting into their ham glaze recipe.

The baked hams is cooked slowly to make sure it retains all its moisture so that the ham is as tender as possible. Then, the top of the baked ham is glazed with a combination of apricot jam, brown sugar, mustard and a few other ingredients. Then it is spooned over a clove studded ham and baked until the glaze on the glazed ham recipe has caramelized.

This is the sort of glazed ham recipe that would work very well as a Christmas ham recipe. However, because of the light fruity nature of the ham glaze recipe it could also work great as an Easter ham recipe too. Heck, this glazed ham recipe looks so good you could happily make it the ham you bake for both holidays. Nobody that was lucky enough to be at your table and enjoy this apricot and brown sugar glazed ham recipe would complain!

One of the traditions of a British Christmas is trying to figure out what to do with the leftover Stilton cheese. This Stilton cheese and leek tart is a fantastic Christmas leftovers recipe. Stilton cheese is a blue cheese and so if you can’t get it where you live you can most certainly use any variety of blue cheese you can get your hands on. A recipe such as this Stilton cheese and leek tart would make a wonderful light meal. Such a tart recipe would be perfect to counteract all the heavy meals you eat over the Christmas cooking period.

Don’t think you have to wait until Christmas to enjoy a cheese and leek tart recipe such as this one. It would be just as nice in the summer with a lightly dressed salad on the side. It is the sort of tart recipe that will also taste good cold which could make it a good picnic recipe option. Plus, it is a vegetarian recipe that even the carnivores will be happy to munch and enjoy.
